The world recognizes Bollywood for the kind of Music it creates. The way in which our films adeptly inculcate Music as a part of the narrative, is an art that Bollywood has mastered and somewhat has patented.Music is not considered to be a foreign element, instead, it heightens the impact of the drama.
IFTA is an initiative by PolBol Media to facilitate outstanding achievements in Indian film, Television, OTT and music industries. It is a first-of-its-kind medium through which the actual receivers of this content- the audiences decides through voting the most deserving winner amongst the nominees.
PolBol Media has a market research team who works consistently to create a list of potential candidates across different fields.
The nominations list is based on what the public loved hearing in these two years. The public then votes for their favourite composer and a rank chart is created based on public votes. There is no jury or panel that decides the winner, it’s solely the voters who make the call. Hence, the credibility of the IFTA increases.
How is IFTA credible?
Remember the time when in 2019 Filmfare gave away the best song of the year to “Apna Time Ayega” over “Teri Mitti” by B Praak? It opened the window to a lot of debates and controversies. People felt cheated and they lost hope in the plausibility of these award shows.
In a form of retaliation, people took to their respective Twitter handles to trend this entire incident. Their dissent could also be seen on other social media platforms. No doubt, both the songs were extremely good in terms of lyrics, but the audiences wanted Teri Mitti to win. The jury’s decision did not meet public expectations.
PolBol Media makes sure that with IFTA, the public gets full authority to choose between a wide range of nominees.

Yes, the Winner is the most-played song of 2021, “Raatan Lambiyaan” from Shershah. Tanishk Bagchi bags the Award for the Most Popular Music Composer 2021-22 with 1032 Public votes. And who follows him in the race and with a cutthroat competition is our very own Music Maestro, A.R. Rahman, scoring 1009 votes for creating the melodious “Rait Zara Si” from Atrangi Re.
With 644 public votes, it is B Praak ranked third for creating Mann Bharryaa. This year was full of remakes not just in films but also in the Music industry. It was hard both for our team and the audience likewise to find original melodies. And the IFTA results clearly indicate, no matter how many remakes or remixes you make, the audiences will only appreciate the original content.
We congratulate the winners and appreciate the audience for supporting them and taking the time to vote.
