Most Popular Television News Anchor 2021-22

News Anchors no longer read the news, they modulate their voice, change the pitch, bring empathy for sensitive news and sometimes bring in their own solid opinions to the desk. Additionally, these anchors also engage in debates with a group of panellists. All these factors combined, make up for the prerequisites of becoming a solid News Anchor.

IFTA is India’s 1st people’s Choice Awards, with an aim to acknowledge and acclaim the versatile talent in the Indian Film, Television, OTT and Music industries.

Team IFTA believes that there is no better judge than the audience. So IFTA gave the voting rights to the ultimate consumers of the content – the viewers. There is no jury or panel involved in making the decision for the winner.

IFTA has a dedicated market research team that works diligently to find the potential list of nominees who then compete to win the particular category. Spread across various categories, the IFTA market research team makes nomination lists based on primary & secondary market research and analysis. These lists are then made public for the audience to vote. The Nominee getting the highest number of votes wins that particular award category.

Myriad responsibilities of a News Anchor

Not long ago do we need to rewind our memories to understand the importance of media. Remember when we were all struck inside our houses owing to the covid restrictions? It was the sheer hard work of these News Anchors who with the help of their reporters, gave us insight into the outside world. These anchors were our only source to understand the happenings of the outside world.

Back in the 80s with the limited news channels, the competition was non-existential. Anchors used to read the teleprompter with an expressionless and pale face. However, the times have changed now and the news channels ought to have well-prepared anchors and news packages to acquire the Prime Time.
